🌟 Hack For Impact NYC - June 6, 2025
The Hackathon was an intensive one-day sprint to build AI-powered solutions under active mentorship from industry experts at Google, Meta, and Microsoft, DeepL, and many more! With participants working in teams across four mission-driven tracks, Education, Climate, Urban Challenges, and Responsible & Ethical AI, the event offered a hands-on opportunity to create end-to-end products and compete for cash prizes totaling $1,100 and a slot to pitch at the Builder’s Demo. 💥 Builder's Showcase - June 7, 2025
We finished our week with our Showcase that brought together talented AI innovators to demo their latest breakthroughs, including Lion Lease, See Museums, SuperRent AI, Formalyze, Train4AI, and the winners from Hack4Impact 2025 (Parents In the Loop)! The session focused on knowledge sharing, inspiration, and connections among builders in the rapidly evolving AI space, offered by the interactive demos, Q&A, and networking, giving attendees direct exposure to real-world AI products and use cases. We were incredibly fortunate to have Jing Dong, a ML scientist at Microsoft, to host a workshop for us. She broke down the intimidating stuff into bite-sized steps from her experience in shipping AI solutions at Microsoft while building indie apps on the side. She shared her struggles of translating ideas into code. If you’ve sketched an AI idea on a napkin but never shipped a working product, this one-hour “vibe-coding” sprint was an unmissable event.
